I know how to sell homes, having been in the business for 38 years. In that time I’ve sold hundreds of homes and have helped many Dubuque families find the home they dreamed of.

My clients appreciate not just my experience, but my expertise and ethics. When representing clients, the first thing I do is to educate them about all aspects of the selling/buying process. I serve as a confidant and a consultant, helping them to make the right decisions.

It was after a five year stint in the Navy that I began working as a Realtor in Dubuque. I never intended it to be my career, but it wasn’t long before it became my passion. In 1972 my partner and I began American Realty of Dubuque.

In addition to selling homes and helping manage our agency, I try to assist other Realtors. I taught pre license and continuing education for over 10 years throughout the state of Iowa. I also spent a short time as a member of the “education advisory committee” for the Iowa Real Estate Commission. I do real estate development for a select group of clients.

I’m a member of the Dubuque Chamber of Commerce and the West Side Business organization. I was the founder of the Pheasants Forever chapter in Dubuque and was heavily involved in that organization for a number of years. I also work on behalf of a number of charities.

A native Dubuque I’ve been happily married to my wife Alana since 1967. We have three sons who all still reside in Dubuque.
